Human Trafficking Conferences - May 22nd & 23rd 2019

Victim Services Renfrew County is hosting this important conference focusing on the detection and prevention of Human Trafficking in our school and our communities.

This is a two-day, dual-conference event will be held at Calabogie Peaks Resort in beautiful Calabogie, Ontario.
A block of rooms has been set aside at their conference rates and must be booked by April 22 to secure this rate.

Human Trafficking Community Mobilization Workshop for Service Providers

This conference will focus on teaching frontline Service Providers about domestic sex trafficking, pimpology and lifestyle, mindset of a trafficked victim (before, during and after), the stages of victim care and the most effective way to provide care.
It will also look at policies and operational issues including identifying gaps, community resource inventory and building a community victim care path with existing resources.

How to Prevent and Detect Human Trafficking in Your Schools for Youth Workers and Educators

This conference will focus on teaching Youth Workers and the Education Sector on how to detect HT on school premises, how to approach students who might be involved and how to present effectively and safely on Domestic Sex Trafficking.
